Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your content stays on your device. Playlists, favorites, settings, viewing history and programme guide data are stored locally and are never uploaded to us.

The one exception is crash reporting, described below. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we have no user accounts in the app.

Third-party services

The app connects to the M3U playlist, Xtream Codes server and optional XMLTV EPG source that you provide, to fetch channel and programme data. These are third-party services not controlled by us, and your provider can see the requests your device makes to them. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of your playlist and EPG providers.

This website is separate from the app. It uses Google Analytics on the marketing pages, and the optional account area uses Supabase for sign-in. Neither is part of the app itself.

Crash and error reporting

From version 1.1.0, Tuna IPTV reports crashes and errors to Sentry, so we can find and fix faults we would otherwise never hear about. A report is sent when something goes wrong, not while you are watching.

A report contains the error and where in the app it happened, the device model, operating system version and app version, and a random identifier generated on your device so that repeated reports from one installation can be grouped. That identifier is not linked to you, and we do not attach names, email addresses or advertising identifiers.

Your playlist and stream addresses are removed before a report leaves the device. Those addresses can contain your IPTV subscription credentials, so every web address in a report is cut back to the server name and the rest is discarded.

There is no advertising, no usage analytics and no tracking of what you watch. Sentry processes this data on our behalf as a service provider.

Children's privacy

Tuna IPTV is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
